FAQ Q258: I entered our payment gateway (PayPal) account in the settings but planyo doesn't ask for the payment. Why does this happen?
In order for the payment gateway (such as PayPal) to be set up correctly you must make sure that you set:
- In Settings / Online Payments: you correctly configure your payment gateway. For example, in case of PayPal you must enter your registered PayPal address
- In Settings / Pricing Manager: you must set pricing. If you don't have any prices set up, the payment will not be requested
- In the settings of all your resources (Reservation Process): change the confirmation method from MODERATOR to OPTIONAL PAYMENT or OBLIGATORY PAYMENT. Both these settings will show the payment button to the customer after they make the reservation. Obligatory payment will go further, it won't make the reservation valid without the payment. Note: If you prefer to use the default setting (MODERATOR) you can still accept payments from your customers but you need to configure this differently, please see Q183 for more information about this.
