FAQ Q341: Why doesn't the reservation form include start and end time fields, only dates?
The date/time form items are generated based on the
time-related settings of a resource. By default if you set the minimum reservation time to less than 24 hours, your resource will be hour-based while a longer min. reservation time will make the resource day-based. If you want to set the minimum rental time to a value longer than 24 hours and still make the resource hour-based (meaning that the reservation form will ask for the start/end times), you can do this as follows:
- In time-related settings set the minimum reservation time to a value less than 24 hours
- In seasonal settings add a season, e.g. January 1 - December 31 if you don't want to define multiple seasons, and set the minimum rental time to your actual allowed minimum, e.g. 2 or 3 days.
This setup will ensure that the customer cannot book for periods of less than X days and you'll still work with hours instead of full days.
